Greetings,I am looking at a used Cub Cadet 7275 tractor with a new Koyker loader on it. Tractor has 700 hours and appears to be in excellent condition. Any thoughts on tractor, loader? I don't see much on Cubs and wondered if they weren't as popular for some reason. Thank you.PJ Drew

PJDrew, The Cub Cadet tractors are just not as popular as the big three; John Deere, Kubota, and New Holland; however, I think they are pretty good tractors. I seriously considered the Cub Cadet in 1995 before buying my first Kubota, but the ergonomics was just not there for me; it was uncomfortable. And of course that will be different for different people. The Kubota dealer, from whom I purchased my Kubota, also sold Cub Cadet and said the Cub Cadet cost a little more new, but would have lower resale value. In other words, try out that Cub, and if you like it and the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. As for the front end loader, I'm not familiar with that brand although I was on a dealer's lot this past week (one who sells Kubota and Belarus) and noticed several of those loaders lined up on the lot, but none installed on the tractors and I didn't talk to him about them. ....

Greetings, I myself have a 98 7275 with the cub loader and the woods hoe. Excellent machine, very easy to do service on.

when I purchased I went to 2 cub and Kub dealers and decided on the cub for the following:

1) faster cycle time when working, the cub uses a larger pump (2 of them in fact), when you are digging a 300ft water hookup, a 10sec cycle diff adds up into 15 or more minutes

2) ease of maint. The cub comes 'apart' up front in a few seconds and the filters and electical connections are easier to get at. If you take yours in for service, this aint a problem. I do my own service so this was ideal

3) ease of operation and the 'cab' The same size kub seemed kinda sparse and the controls on the cub were much easier to get at. Also, the dash layout of the cub makes it possible to install a temp and oil actual gauge (not just a temp needle) and an aux power supply.

I could mention price, but I got this setup for $6000 off of list for having 150 hrs on it. Both dealers seemed able and willing to move around the pricing on various package so who knows what the bottom line dollar amounts are.

Dont get me wrong, I like kubs, but on this size the cub was better ....

I am thinking about a Cub 7275 with matching loader. The tractor has 92 hours on it. It is 4 x 4, ps, perfect shape and owner is asking 15.5k. I have been trying to find out anything on this unit. Any ideas from anyone? Is this price fair or high. The owner does not like it and switched back to green. ....

Like to see it for 1000-1500 less, although, that is a low number of hours. Make sure its mint. Great tractor. Use mine for all sorts of bizarre stuff beyond the usual.... ....

Mike,
I bought the 7275 I was looking at for 11,800. It had 700hrs with a new Koyker 150 loader. The tractor is in very good condition and so far I am thrill with what it will do. I think I got a really good deal but hard to say. I didn't see alot of Cub's around my area but I couldn't pas up based on price. The IH dealer in my town carries parts and thats the big reason I when with the Cub. They are really nice people. Love that Hydro. My old compact was a gear drive with no live power so big difference.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure what type of loader is on this one, but it is painted like the cub so i assume it is one of theirs. I am gonna try to offer them my tractor and 7k. I just bought this 284 with a great bend loader, for 7.5k, and it only has 1100 hours on it. I am gonna lose the tax money, but the tractor in question is at the same dealer that i bought the 284 from. Oh well. we will see. thanks ....
